On 14 September agents of the Technical Investigation Unit (CTI) enforced a warrant for the arrest of David Ravelo, a well known human rights defender of Barrancabermeja. Ravelo is charged with the conspiracy to commit a crime and aggravated homicide. These charges are based on the testimonies of demobilised paramilitaries who testified in a hearing within the framework of Law 975.
